Risk patterns include fast-moving chat, private messages, donation pressure, and being pulled into off-platform servers. Most streams are harmless, but moderation quality varies a lot by channel size and creator style.
What parents can do
- Ask which channels your child watches and whether they chat live or only watch.
- Set expectations for tips, subscriptions, and gift spending.
- Review privacy and whisper settings together, and talk about stranger DMs.
